At Heads Up Hockey, our mission is simple:
help every player reach the next level: on and off the ice.
Founded by Coach Jonny Suporn, Heads Up Hockey has grown from a small set of private lessons into one of the North Shore’s most trusted hockey development programs. What started on a single sheet of ice has become a complete training experience focused on long-term growth, confidence, and results.
Our approach
We believe that great players aren’t just born—they’re developed through smart training, personal connection, and consistent accountability. Our coaching blends high-level skill work with modern development strategies, video analysis, mental performance tools, and clear goal setting. Every session is built with intention so players understand why they’re doing something, not just how.
Above all, we are known for the relationships we build. We take the time to truly get to know each player—their strengths, their goals, and what motivates them—so we can support them every step of the way.

Private & Group Training
From edgework to shooting mechanics, we offer detailed, hands-on instruction tailored to each athlete’s needs. Our sessions are designed to build confidence, creativity, and hockey IQ.
TOURNAMENT TEAMS
Our Heads Up Hockey Tournament Teams give players the chance to compete, grow, and experience a high-level team environment. These teams bring together motivated athletes who want elite coaching and a positive, competitive atmosphere.
A Vision for the Future
Heads Up Hockey is expanding with a long-term plan to build our own training facility—more ice time, more resources, and a true home for our players. This center will host on-ice development, off-ice training, video analysis, and a youth hockey program built on the same principles that guide everything we do.
